Connect External GPS to iPad or iPhone devices

Now connect your professional grade GPS to iOS devices natively. We support all GPS receivers that adhere to NMEA 0183 Standards. Even though we provide a mFi certified solution based on generic NMEA standards, we get asked a list of GPS models that we have successfully connected and worked with. All of the options mentioned below work with our custom Bluetooth add-on to our cables as well. We have been able to:

• Connect Trimble Pro 6 series GPS receivers to iOS Devices – iPhone, iPad.
• Connect Trimble GeoExplorer series GPS units to iOS Devices – iPhone, iPad.
• Connect Topcon HiPer SR series GPS receivers to iOS Devices – iPhone, iPad.
• Connect Altus APS Series GPS receivers to iOS Devices – iPhone, iPad.
• Connect Geneq SXBlue GPS series receivers to iOS Devices – iPhone, iPad.
• Connect John Deer StarFire series GPS receivers to iOS Devices – iPhone, iPad
• Connect other External GPS to iOS Devices – iPhone, iPad

Our cable solution connects an iOS device to various industry leading GPS receivers (including but not limited to the ones mentioned above) via a standard DB9 – RS-232 serial interface. The cable is compatible with all location aware iOS apps, including the Maps and Compass apps that are standard on iOS devices.

Our solutions are completely jailbreak free,  plug and play ready and is licensed and certified under the MFi program by Apple and works with all of the leading high accuracy GPS/GNSS receivers that use the NMEA 0183 protocol.

The Lightning Cable is about 4 Feet long  and has a male DB-9 connector and supports data transfer rates of upto 115.2 Kbps and requires iOS 5.0.x or above.

The 30-Pin Cable is about 3 Feet long and has a male DB-9 connector and supports data transfer rates of upto 57.6 kbps and requires iOS 5.0.x and above.
